- Avoid using vaginal washes, creams, sprays, or vaginal suppositories for at least 48 hours before your sample collection appointment.
- Avoid sexual intercourse for 24 hours before the examination.
- It is preferable to schedule the examination on days far from the menstrual cycle.
- Inform your doctor or technician of any medications you are taking, especially modern antibiotics or antifungals.
