TLE1 IHC Test for Synovial Sarcoma | Lahalak Platform

IHC analysis for TLE1 protein helps confirm or rule out synovial sarcoma in soft tissues, ensuring the development of an effective and early treatment plan.

Scientific name: Immunohistochemistry: TLE1

Immunohistochemical (IHC) testing reveals the nuclear expression of TLE1 (transducin-like enhancer of split 1). Strong nuclear expression of TLE1 is a highly sensitive and specific marker for synovial sarcoma, a malignant stromal tumor that most commonly arises in the extremities near joints. TLE1 is a transcription factor that aids in predicting t...

Conditions & Notices

  • The analysis does not require the patient to fast, as it is performed on a fixed tissue sample.
  • The need for a sufficient tumor tissue sample (preferably an excisional biopsy or a centrifugal needle biopsy).
  • It is strongly recommended that it be performed as part of a diagnostic panel for soft tissue tumors, and may require confirmation by FISH testing to detect t(X;18) chromosomal translocation in critical or atypical cases.
