Conditions & Notices

  • Fasting is not required, as the sample is a tissue sample (biopsy).
  • The biopsy sample must be immediately preserved in 10% formalin.
  • This analysis is requested almost routinely as the first immunological marker in any suspected case of lymphoma, or in any unspecified malignant tumor.
  • It is often the starting point for requesting a broader diagnostic package (B/T cell markers, keratin, etc.) based on its result.
