- A very strict and non-negotiable histological requirement: a large (at least 1x1x0.3 cm) FFPE tissue mass, perfectly intact and ideally processed, must be provided. Fine needle biopsy specimens are often ineligible.
- Approval from the reference institution's ethics committee is necessary due to the evolving and partially research-based nature of this analysis.
- Providing a complete medical history, including all previous histological and genetic reports, is a prerequisite.
- The completion time is very long, usually ranging from 6 to 8 working weeks, due to the technical complexity and the potential need for multiple retests and consultative reviews at different levels.
