E-Cadherin IHC Test for Tumor Invasion | Lahalak Platform
A specialized analysis to evaluate tumor spread and metastasis potential, helping doctors predict cancer behavior and choose the most effective treatment plan.
Scientific name: Immunohistochemistry: E-Cadherin
Immunohistochemistry for E-Cadherin aims to detect this essential membrane protein for adherens junctions between epithelial cells. E-Cadherin is a key marker for maintaining tissue cohesion, and the loss of its expression is associated with increased cancer cell invasion and migration (epithelial-mesenchymal transition), which is crucial in classi...
Included Services

Medical Service Information
Conditions & Notices
- Fasting is not required, as the sample is a histological sample (biopsy).
- The biopsy sample must be immediately preserved in 10% formalin to maintain the intercellular junctions.
- This analysis is routinely requested in biopsies of suspected lobular breast cancer and is often combined with other markers such as p120 catenin (which translocates to the cytoplasm in lobular carcinoma).
- Identifying the suspected tumor type (especially in the breast) is essential for interpretation.
