An advanced laboratory test to detect Arginase-1 protein, a precise marker for diagnosing primary liver cancer and differentiating it from secondary tumors to ensure an effective treatment plan.
Scientific name: Immunohistochemistry: Arginase-1
A qualitative immunohistochemical (IHC) assay using a monoclonal antibody against arginase-1. It aims to detect strong cytoplasmic and sometimes nuclear expression of this enzyme, which is highly and specifically expressed in both normal and cancerous hepatocytes, making it an excellent marker for confirming the hepatic origin of cells.
