Conditions & Notices
- Fasting is not required, as the sample is tissue (biopsy or excision).
- The tissue sample must be immediately preserved in 10% standard neutral formalin for 6-72 hours to ensure optimal fixation (this is a critical condition for the accuracy of the results).
- The analysis must be carried out in an accredited and specialized laboratory in accordance with strict international protocols (such as ASCO/CAP).
- This analysis is required compulsorily with ER and PR as part of the basic package for breast cancer characterization.
