Serum Protein Profile Test | Lahalak Medical Platform
Precise screening of albumin and globulin levels to assess nutritional status, liver and kidney functions, and early detection of immune system disorders.
Scientific name: Serum Protein Profile Package
A basic diagnostic laboratory package for assessing serum proteins. This includes measuring total protein, which provides an overview of the balance between protein synthesis and loss in the body. This measurement is then broken down into its two main components: albumin, the most abundant protein produced by the liver and which plays a crucial rol...

Conditions & Notices
- Fasting: Fasting is not mandatory for this package, as the meals do not significantly affect protein and albumin levels. However, it is preferable to fast for 4-6 hours, if possible, for more consistent results.
- Hydration status: The patient should be in a normal hydration state, because severe dehydration may cause a falsely elevated protein level (due to blood concentration).
- • Avoid prolonged pressure bandaging: During blood draws, the pressure bandage should not be left on the arm for more than one minute, to avoid localized protein concentration and obtaining an inaccurate reading.
- Body position: It is preferable for the patient to be sitting or lying down for 10-15 minutes before the withdrawal, as standing for long periods may increase the concentration of proteins.
