PTT Mixing Study Test Price | Lahalak Platform
Advanced test to diagnose blood clotting disorders, helping distinguish between clotting factor deficiency and inhibitors to ensure correct treatment.

This laboratory test corrects prolonged partial thromboplastin time (PTT). The patient's plasma is mixed with normal plasma (containing all clotting factors at 100% concentration). Clotting times are measured before and after mixing to determine whether the prolonged PTT is due to a deficiency in clotting factors (corrected by mixing) or to the pre...

Conditions & Notices
- It is preferable to fast for 8-10 hours before taking the sample to avoid plasma opacity (lipidness) which may affect the reading of the coagulation device.
- Stop taking any anticoagulant medications (such as heparin) before the examination only as instructed by the treating physician, and do not stop on your own.
- Blood is drawn into a sodium citrate tube (light blue tube) at a precisely defined ratio between blood and anticoagulant.
- The sample must be transported to the laboratory and processed quickly (centrifuged to obtain platelet-poor plasma) to ensure the accuracy of the results.
