Conditions & Notices

  • There is no need to fast before this test. You can eat your usual meals.
  • The glucose solution must be drunk completely within 5 minutes.
  • You must remain in the examination area quietly (no walking or strenuous activity) during the hour between drinking the solution and having blood drawn.
  • Prefer the test in the morning.
  • You should inform your doctor if you are taking any medications that may affect your blood sugar.
