  • Fasting is not required, as the sample is tissue (biopsy or excision).
  • The tissue sample must be immediately preserved in 10% standard neutral formalin to ensure the preservation of the integrity of the nuclear antigens.
  • This analysis is mandatory for all cases of invasive colorectal cancer, and strongly recommended for endometrial cancer.
  • It is usually requested as a set (package) that includes all four proteins together (MLH1, PMS2, MSH2, MSH6).
