Lymphocyte CD18 Surface Marker Test | Lahalak

A vital test for the CD18 protein, responsible for immune cell adhesion and migration. It helps diagnose the causes of recurrent, serious infections resulting from white blood cell functional defects.

Scientific name: Lymphocyte CD18 Surface Marker Test

Flow cytometry is used to assess the expression level of CD18 protein on the surface of lymphocytes. CD18 is a key subunit for the formation of leukocyte adhesion molecules (such as LFA-1) and plays a vital role in leukocyte migration and immune function. It is used to investigate suspected leukocyte adhesion deficiency (LAD).
