Medical Service Information
Conditions & Notices
- Exceptional histological requirement: A large (>1.5 cm at its largest dimension), representative of the tumor, and ideally processed without damage must be provided. The majority of routine specimens are rejected.
- Mandatory review and prior approval by the reference pathology committee at the service-providing center, which assesses the medical need and expected benefit.
- The patient or their guardian must understand the partial research nature and the potentially high costs.
- The completion time is very long, usually ranging from 8 to 10 working weeks, due to extreme technical complexity, multiple revisions, and the possibility of additional confirmatory analyses.
