Conditions & Notices
- Fasting is not required, as the test is performed on a tissue biopsy sample.
- The biopsy sample must be preserved immediately and correctly in 10% formalin to prevent damage to the viral antigens.
- A complete medical history should be provided, paying particular attention to immune status and any immunosuppressant medications.
- If available, the results of CMV serological or PCR blood tests should also be included.
