BerEP4 Cancer Detection Test | Lahalak Platform
An advanced histological examination to detect epithelial-origin cancer cells in tissues and fluids, helping differentiate tumors and accurately identify their source to guide treatment.
Scientific name: Immunohistochemistry: BerEP4 Test
Immunohistochemistry is used to detect the expression of the epithelial cell surface antigen BerEP4. This antibody recognizes EGP (epithelial glycoprotein) proteins found on the membranes of most epithelial cells, including cancer cells derived from them. It is primarily used to differentiate between epithelial carcinomas and tumors of non-epitheli...

- It is essential to attach the initial cytological or histological report along with information on the location of the sample and the suspected clinical diagnosis.
- The test does not require the patient to fast, as it is based on a tissue sample or fluid that has been taken previously.
- The expected time for issuing the report is between 3 and 5 working days.
