Conditions & Notices
- If the test is of the chemical type (gFOBT), a special diet must be followed for 3 days before collecting the sample: avoid red meat, liver, some vegetables (broccoli, radish), and high doses of vitamin C.
- If the test is of the immunological type (FIT), there is no need for a special diet, which makes it easier.
- Avoid collecting the sample during a woman's menstrual cycle, or if there is obvious bleeding from hemorrhoids or the anus.
- Follow the package instructions precisely for collecting the sample and the date it should be sent to the laboratory.
