Conditions & Notices
- Fasting: Fasting is not required.
- Sample collection: It is preferable to take the sample before starting any topical or systemic antibiotic treatment. If the patient is using eye drops, it is advisable to stop using them 6-12 hours before taking the sample, if possible (after consulting a doctor).
- Avoid touching the swab to any surface other than the area of infection in the eye to maintain the purity of the sample.
