Blood Coagulation Profile | Lahalak Platform
For your safety before surgery or during treatment. This package provides a precise assessment of your blood clotting system, helping doctors estimate bleeding risks and monitor anticoagulant medication effectiveness safely.
Scientific name: Comprehensive Blood Coagulation Profile
A comprehensive laboratory package for evaluating the major blood clotting pathways. This package includes: prothrombin time (PT) and International Normalized Ratio (INR), which assess the extrinsic and common pathway of blood clotting and are dependent on clotting factors I, II, V, VII, and X; partial thromboplastin time (PTT), which assesses the...
Included Services
- Measuring prothrombin time (PT) and the International Standard Relationship (INR) to assess the extrinsic pathway of coagulation and monitor warfarin.
- Measuring partial thromboplastin time (PTT) to assess the internal pathway of coagulation and monitor heparin.
- Measuring thrombin time (TCT) to assess the final stage of clot formation (conversion of fibrinogen to fibrin).
- Consult a hematologist or internist to interpret the overall results.

Conditions & Notices
- Fasting is not required: These tests can be performed at any time without fasting.
- Taking medications: Take all your medications as usual, including blood thinners (such as warfarin and heparin). Inform the laboratory and technician about all medications you are taking.
- The type of sample is important: Blood is drawn into a special citrate tube (blue tube). It must be filled correctly to maintain the correct ratio between blood and anticoagulant.
- Avoid hemolysis: The blood draw process must be smooth to avoid the breakdown of blood cells (hemolysis), which may affect the results.
