Conditions & Notices

  • To collect a semen sample (direct method):
  • Abstain from sexual intercourse or ejaculation for 2-5 days before collecting the sample.
  • Collect the sample in the sterile container provided by the laboratory, preferably at the laboratory itself. If collected at home, it should be kept at body temperature and delivered to the laboratory within one hour.
  • Avoid using a regular condom to collect the sample, as it contains spermicides.
  • For blood serum testing (for men or women):
  • Fasting is not required.
  • No other special preparations are required.
