Accurate Gestational Diabetes Diagnosis - Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT), 100g

The 100-gram oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT 100g) is the gold standard diagnostic tool for confirming a diagnosis of gestational diabetes. The patient drinks a solution containing 100 grams of glucose, and then the blood plasma glucose level is measured four times: while fasting, and one, two, and three hours after ingestion. Gestational diabetes is diagnosed if two or more of these four readings exceed the normal range.
