Factor IX Inhibiting Antibody Screening is a functional laboratory test that detects the presence and activity of inhibitory antibodies directed against Factor IX in blood plasma. These inhibitors neutralize the effectiveness of exogenous Factor IX administered as therapy, leading to a lack of response to conventional treatment, a serious and critical complication in hemophilia B.
