Eye Swab Culture Test - Eye Swab Culture and Sensitivity

A specialized diagnostic package for eye infections. This includes direct microscopic examination (smear) of an eye or conjunctival swab, and culture on specialized media to isolate and identify the causative microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, fungi). It also includes antimicrobial susceptibility testing of the isolated organisms to determine the most effective topical or systemic antibiotic.
