Bone and Soft Tissue Diagnosis - Immunohistochemistry (IHC) for NKX2.2

Immunohistochemical assay for NKX2.2 (NK2 Homeobox 2) aims to detect this nuclear transcription factor involved in the development of the central nervous system and pancreatic islet cells. It is currently considered a highly sensitive and specific marker for Ewing sarcoma family tumors (ESFT), which include Ewing sarcoma of bone, extraosseous Ewing sarcoma, primitive neuroectodermal tumor (PNET), and peripheral primitive neuroectodermal tumor (pPNET).
