Conditions & Notices
- Fasting is not required, but it is preferable to draw the sample in the morning to obtain more stable values.
- The sample should be collected in an anticoagulant tube with EDTA (purple tube) and kept at room temperature.
- The analysis should be performed within 24-48 hours of blood being drawn to obtain accurate results, as cells may become damaged over time.
- Inform the doctor about any current infections or medications the patient is taking (especially cortisone or immunosuppressants).
