Conditions & Notices
- Fasting: Fasting is not required.
- Abstinence from sexual intercourse: Abstinence from ejaculation (sexual intercourse or masturbation) is required for 2-5 days prior to sample collection, in order to obtain a perfect sample and to avoid sample dilution.
- Hygiene: Wash hands and the applicator thoroughly with soap and water before collecting the sample, and avoid touching the inside of the sterile container.
- Rapid transport: The sample must be transported to the laboratory within one hour of collection, kept warm (near body temperature) and not refrigerated.
