Conditions & Notices
- There is no need to fast.
- A stool sample should be collected within the first 3 days of symptom onset for best results.
- The sample should be collected in a clean, dry container. Avoid mixing it with urine or toilet water.
- The test should be performed on a fresh sample (within one hour of defecation) or kept refrigerated (2-8°C) for no more than 24 hours if the test is delayed.
- Avoid collecting the sample from an absorbent diaper if possible; a special collection bag can be used or a sample of liquid stool can be taken directly.
