Conditions & Notices
- Fasting is not required, as the sample is a tissue sample (biopsy).
- The tissue sample must be immediately preserved in 10% formalin.
- This analysis is routinely requested in the classification of non-small cell lung tumors (NSCLC), usually with TTF-1 and Napsin A to differentiate between glandular and squamous.
- In prostate biopsies, it is usually requested with the AMACR label (P504S) in a double package (P63-/AMACR+ is typical for adenocarcinoma).
