Conditions & Notices
- Fasting is not required, as the sample is tissue (biopsy or excision).
- The tissue sample must be immediately preserved in 10% standard neutral formalin for 6-72 hours to ensure optimal fixation (this is a critical condition for the accuracy of the results).
- The sample must be identified as cancerous breast tissue for the purpose of analysis.
- This analysis is required mandatorily along with PR and HER2 as part of the basic package for breast cancer characterization.
