Conditions & Notices
- It is preferable not to use any vaginal washes, creams, or vaginal suppositories for at least 48 hours before taking the sample.
- It is preferable to avoid sexual intercourse for 24 hours before taking the sample.
- The patient should not be menstruating; it is preferable to take the sample several days after the end of menstruation.
- The sample should not be taken after a vaginal ultrasound examination using the gel.
- The sample must be collected by a doctor or experienced nurse using a sterile instrument (swab wallet) and inserted directly into the appropriate transport medium.
