Conditions & Notices
- Fasting is not required. You can eat and drink before the test.
- The glucose solution (50 g) should be drunk within 5 minutes.
- Sit and rest in the clinic or laboratory during the one-hour period between drinking the solution and having blood drawn, and avoid physical activity or eating or drinking anything else (except water).
- The examination should be carried out at the appointment scheduled by the doctor (usually between weeks 24-28 of pregnancy).
