Conditions & Notices
- Fasting is absolutely essential: you must abstain from food and drink (except water) for 8 to 12 hours before the sample is taken.
- Only plain water is allowed to be drunk during the fasting period.
- Smoking and chewing gum should be avoided before the examination.
- You should continue taking your usual medications unless your doctor recommends adjusting them (especially diabetes medications or corticosteroids). You should inform your doctor.
- It is preferable to perform the examination early in the morning.
