Conditions & Notices
- Fasting is not required. Blood can be drawn at any time.
- It is preferable to take the sample on or after the fifth day after the onset of symptoms to obtain the best sensitivity for the IgM test.
- In the case of an inconclusive diagnosis, a second sample (convalescent) may be recommended 10-14 days after the first sample to confirm the elevated titer (seroconversion).
