- Fasting: Fasting is not required for this package, but it is preferable to perform the draw in the morning (between 7-10 am) to ensure maximum accuracy, especially for the TSH hormone which may be affected by the daily rhythm.
- Timing of the medication: If you are taking thyroid hormone medication (such as levothyroxine), it is preferable to have the sample drawn before taking the medication dose on the day of the examination, unless your doctor advises otherwise.
- Stability of condition: It is preferable not to perform the examination during an acute illness (such as a severe infection), unless it is necessary to diagnose the condition, as it may temporarily affect the results.
