Conditions & Notices

  • Mandatory fasting: You must fast for 10-12 hours before the sample is taken. This is necessary for accurate results of blood sugar (HbA1c does not require fasting, but fasting glucose may be included in some packages) and triglycerides. Water is permitted.
  • Avoid alcohol: Abstain from alcohol for at least 48 hours before the examination.
  • Rest and avoid exercise: Avoid strenuous physical activity 24 hours before the examination.
  • Menstrual cycle timing (for women): If FSH measurement is for evaluative purposes, it is preferable to perform it on the second or third day of the cycle. Consult your doctor.
  • Stop taking supplements: Stop taking iron, biotin, or other vitamin supplements 3-5 days before the examination after consulting a doctor.
