- Abstain from sexual intercourse, the use of vaginal douches, suppositories, creams, or spermicides for 48 hours prior to the examination.
- The best time for the test is mid-cycle (10-20 days after the end of menstruation). It should be avoided during menstruation.
- Fasting is not required.
- The sample must be taken by a gynecologist or a trained nurse.
- The liquid sample allows for the possibility of further molecular testing in the future if recommended by the doctor.
