Conditions & Notices
- A normal meal containing carbohydrates (equivalent to about 75-100 grams of carbohydrates) should be consumed to stimulate an appropriate insulin response.

- It is preferable to fast for 8-12 hours before the meal (i.e., the meal should be the first food the patient eats that day) to ensure a correct baseline measurement.
- Smoking and strenuous physical activity should be avoided during the period between eating and sample collection.
