VWF Quantitative Assay - Von Willebrand Factor (VWF) Immunological Assay

An immunological assay (such as enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) or immunohistochemistry measures the quantitative concentration of von Willebrand factor (VWF:Ag) in plasma. It measures the amount of protein present, regardless of its functional activity. It is usually performed as part of the diagnostic package for von Willebrand disease.
