Urine Protein Electrophoresis

Electrophoresis separation technique (gel or capillary) performed on concentrated urine sample to identify and measure proportions of different protein types present. Distinguishes between two main patterns: glomerular pattern (mostly albumin) and tubular pattern (low molecular weight proteins), with ability to detect monoclonal proteins (M spike).
