Total Serum Protein Health Check - Total Protein (Serum) Test

This test measures the total protein concentration in the liquid part of the blood (serum). It includes two main groups: albumin (made by the liver and involved in osmotic pressure and nutrient transport) and globulins (which include antibodies, transport proteins, and inflammatory proteins). Measuring total protein provides an initial overview of nutritional status, liver and kidney function, and the presence of certain inflammatory or systemic disorders.
