Quantitative test that measures topiramate drug concentration in serum. It is a drug from sulfamate-sugar class, used as antiepileptic (anticonvulsant) treatment and migraine prophylactic. Requires therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) due to variation in response among patients and association with cognitive side effects.
