Parvovirus B19 IgM Antibody Test

This test measures the level of immunoglobulin M (IgM) antibodies against human parvovirus B19 in the blood. IgM production begins shortly after infection (within 7–10 days), peaks after 2–3 weeks, and then gradually declines to disappear within 2–3 months. Its presence is a strong indicator of a current or recent infection.
