Fertility & Ovulation Hormone Test - Luteinizing Hormone (LH) Test

This laboratory test measures the concentration of luteinizing hormone (LH) in blood serum. LH is secreted by the anterior pituitary gland and regulates the functions of the gonads (ovaries and testes). LH stimulates ovulation and progesterone production in women, and testosterone production in men. Measuring it is essential in evaluating the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis.
