Hepatitis E PCR Test - Hepatitis E Virus (HEV) RNA PCR Test

This test uses Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) technology for the qualitative and/or quantitative detection of Hepatitis E Virus (HEV) RNA in blood serum or plasma. This test is the gold standard for diagnosing acute active infection, as it determines the presence of the virus itself in the blood during the incubation period and symptom phase of the disease.
