Galactocerebrosidase analysis by flow injection analysis–tandem mass spectrometry (FIA-MS/MS) is an advanced analytical procedure aimed at measuring the levels of the galactocerebrosidase enzyme in biological samples. This enzyme is important in complex lipid metabolism and is involved in diagnosing certain genetic disorders, such as Krabbe disease. The technique relies on introducing the sample into a continuous flow system, where it is injected directly into the mass spectrometer. This method provides rapid analysis and high accuracy in detecting low enzyme concentrations, helping deliver reliable and efficient results in a short time. FIA-MS/MS is considered an ideal choice for clinical and diagnostic research, as it allows simultaneous multi-component analysis.
