The antithrombin III antigen (AT III Ag) test is a quantitative measurement of plasma levels of antithrombin III protein using an immunoassay (typically enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay - ELISA). It measures the amount of protein present, regardless of its functional activity. Antithrombin III is one of the most important natural inhibitors of blood clotting.
