Aldosterone Hormone Test

An immunoassay to measure the concentration of aldosterone hormone in serum or plasma. Usually performed with other tests to evaluate the renin-aldosterone axis. Essential for diagnosing primary aldosteronism (such as Conn's syndrome) and secondary aldosteronism, and assessing blood pressure disorders.
