The diagnostic package includes two consecutive stages: First, blood culture using aerobic and anaerobic media to incubate blood samples and detect the growth of microorganisms causing bloodstream infections. Second, antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) for any isolated organism to determine the most effective antibiotics or antifungals against it, providing a comprehensive report for treatment guidance.
