Blood Compatibility Test - Indirect Coombs Test

Indirect Coombs test is an immunoassay that detects presence of free antibodies in serum directed against antigens on red blood cell surface of recipient. Used routinely before blood transfusion to detect unexpected antibodies, and in pregnancy follow-up to detect antibodies that may cause Hemolytic Disease of the Newborn (HDN).
