A comprehensive immunological panel is performed on blood serum to detect and titrate autoantibodies directed against extractable nuclear antigens (ENA). This panel typically includes detection of the most clinically significant antibodies, such as Anti-Ro (SS-A), Anti-La (SS-B), Anti-Sm, Anti-RNP, Anti-Scl-70 (topoisomerase I), Anti-Jo-1, and sometimes Anti-Centromere. It aims to confirm the diagnosis and determine the subtype of systemic connective tissue disease following a positive ANA test result.
