Safety Check Before Blood Transfusion - Indirect Coombs' Test (Antibody Screening)

A precise immunoassay (known as the Indirect Coombs' Test) aimed at detecting the presence of irregular antibodies (Alloantibodies) in blood serum. These antibodies are dangerous because they are not naturally present, and if they exist, they can cause acute hemolysis of transfused red blood cells. This test is mandatory before blood transfusions and in pregnancy follow-up.
